Get To Know Bay Point
Established in 1937, Bay Point is a private residential community stretching from NE 41st Street to NE 50th Street and bound by Biscayne Bay and Biscayne Boulevard on the west. The community consists of approximately 250 single family homes that were generally built in the 1940s and 50s and the average lot is over 13,000 square feet. As is the case in many of Miami's waterfront neighborhoods, a large number of the residents are vacation or seasonal homeowners. The streets are privately owned and maintained by the residents, including the roaming safety patrol and security gate officers.
Although most of of the homes are on dry lots, the community includes approximately 90 waterfront estates that are either direct bay, or offer frontage along the Sabal waterway or Sabal Lake. Prices for residences in the Miami enclave range from approximately $3 million for a 3,000 square foot (280m2) home on a dry lot, to approximately $20 million for a luxury waterfront estate with stunning bay views. The area has been home to a number of celebrity residents over the years, including Grammy Award artist Willy Chirino and former Miami Marlins star pitcher, Livan Hernandez, and is currently home to Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova.
